He is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, King County Bar Association, the Academy of Special Needs Planners, the Arc of Washington State and King County, the Autism Society of America (ASA) and the Autism Society of Washington.
Mr. Brothers' practice focuses on the development, implementation and administration of special needs trusts, litigation and settlement planning, estate planning, guardianship, benefits advocacy and litigation, and probate.
Mr. Brothers became a shareholder of the Dussault Law Group in 2008. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Arc of King County, the Board of Directors for the Arc of Washington State and the Governing Board for the Developmental Disabilities Life Opportunities Trust. He is a former member of the Professional Advisory Board for the Autism Society of Washington. He also serves the CLE Co-Chair for the King County Bar Association Guardianship and Elder Law Section.
Mr. Brothers is a frequent presenter at continuing legal education seminars, parent group meetings and other seminars and symposiums on issues related to his areas of practice. He was named as a Rising Star by Washington Law & Politics for 2009 and 2010.
Prior to law school Mr. Brothers was one of 60 cyclists in the 1999 Push America Journey of Hope bicycle ride from San Francisco to Washington, D.C., raising money and awareness for people with disabilities. While in law school he served as an intern at the Special Education Legal Clinic.
